ORANGE SCHOOLS FOUNDATION

Donate to the General Fund or to a Specific Fund

Thank you for choosing to donate to the Orange Schools Foundation.

GENERAL FUND: Since our creation in 1981, the Orange Schools Foundation has donated approximately $325,000 for instructional, technology, classroom enrichment projects and recognition of student accomplishments in academic, artistic and athletic endeavors from our General Fund through our "Grant Program".

DESIGNATED FUNDS: Through our scholarships and designated funds, the achievements of outstanding skills and contributions of students are recognized yearly at the Orange High School Awards Night.

NEW: The Scott Petersen Memorial Fund, in memory of Scott, a '74 OHS alumni who passed away in August, 2011
after a 2 year battle from double lung transplant complications , is now available for funding. Thank you to Scott's family
and Sam Steinhouse, a fellow classmate, for spearheading the Fund Drive. Scott was an accomplished saxophone player
and musician. The fund will recognize a graduating OHS senior embarking on a musical career.

Sandra Hazelton Memorial Award: one-time $500 honoring a senior foreign language student

Mark Burkholder Memorial Award: one-time award of $400 presented to an outstanding student in communications

Tim Boyle Memorial Award: $100 presented to a charitable organization designated by the recipient to honor the memory of Tim Boyle. Honors a senior for outstanding human relations & Leadership skills.

Gail Allison Fund: to be used on projects to enhance children's educational & leadership opportunities.

Alana E. Kay Memorial Fund: will be used in the school to memorialize Alana's love of books

Judy Dague Memorial Fund: used for outdoor science curriculum.

Barbara Bernheimer Speech & Debate Memorial Award: one-time $500 recognizes a student’s contribution to the Speech & Debate Program.

JoAnn McCrae Memorial Fund: used for athletic and sports curriculum

Matthew Smilovits Memorial Fund: one-time $500 to reward a high school senior. Criteria both merit and financially based.

Chavon Flannary Memorial Award: in/out $500 to recognize academic achievement, activities and service.

Lindsay Stark Memorial Award: $500 to recognize qualities of compassion, humanity and sensitivity to others.

Geraldine Moskowitz Memorial Fund: used for curriculum recognizing citizenship and team building
